A bit behind on my blog posts I am afraid but I really wanted to share with you some of the results form the two workshops that have happened since I moved studios into Ocean Studios. The first workshop that took place was a Herb Pot workshop, I had four lovely ladies come and make pots and planter tags and we had a lovely morning. I really do enjoy doing workshops with people, seeing how they interact with the clay, overcome problems and watching their creativity grow. The feed back I received was very helpful and will definitely help shape workshops to come. (I haven't shared a picture of their work as its in the kiln as I write and also they haven't seen their own finished pots yet!)
The next workshop that I had booked in was a group of young people from Talent Match Cornwall. I had not met any of them before and really didn't quite know what to expect! We had a brilliant day. It started off by going through some basic techniques and then they were off! Some of them had never used clay before and to watch their confidence grow as the day progressed made my week! Each person made a pinch pot and then a coiled vessel, each persons creativity taking them off in a different direction.
I really enjoyed my day with them and my confidence grew too. I have have another group booked in for Tuesday, I wonder what this group will create?!
