The important bits!
Firing charges for workshops
All materials are provided for each workshop, if you would like to have any work fired then there is an additional charge of £5 per kg of wet clay to be paid at the end of the 6 weeks or Saturday workshop unless stated otherwise. Limited places on all workshops
Due to the nature of clay and my insurance, I will have the final say on what gets fired and I have the right to refuse a piece if I deem it to be unsafe or likely to damage the kiln or other peoples work. You may pack the kiln yourself under my supervision but I will turn it on.
All kilns need to be packed and ready to be switched on by 4pm of the booking date, I will call you to say that the firing has finished and work can be collected. Can all work be collected by 1pm of the end firing date, so as to keep the kilns as free as possible.
Both kilns take a while to cool down so please allow enough time in your planning for this, kilns will not be able to be opened until they have reached 50*
If any damage occurs to the kiln shelves, elements or thermocouple, these will need to be replaced at your cost so please make sure your work is dry and prepare your glaze ware well.
Due to the size of both kilns, you might want to share the hire and cost with someone else, please let me know at the time of booking if this is something you are interested in.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch
Payments made via the website are completed by Stripe, for more information please visit their website www.stripe.com
Payments for workshops, studio access sessions and kiln hire need to be in full after booking a session via phone or email, these can be made via the website or by cash in person before the start date. Once payment has been received your booking will be confirmed.
For all workshops, other than the 6-week ones, 2 weeks notice is required if you need to cancel your place and to receive a full refund. If you need to cancel less than 2 weeks before then an alternative workshop will be offered unless someone else takes your place.
If for any reason I need to cancel a workshop I will aim to give at least 1 weeks notice and offer either an alternative date or offer a full refund.
For studio access hire; if there is a need to cancel your session please call as soon as possible and I will arrange another date with you.
Shipping and packaging
All work will be gift wrapped and then placed in re-purposed boxes and packaging with clear address labels. I feel that there is far too much waste being produced in the general packaging of the items we buy and I don't want to add to it, therefore all boxes and packaging will most likely have been previously used. I believe that at the end of the day, it is what is inside the packaging that is far more exciting than the box it comes in!
I will be using Royal Mail 1st class signed for and will post all orders within three working days. If for any reason that is not possible then I will email you directly to explain.
International items will be posted using Royal Mail tracked and signed for service and will post orders within three working days. If for any reason there is a delay in posting I will contact you via email to explain.
Local taxes - please note that any local taxes (sales tax, customs duty etc) that might occur due to your region will need to be paid for by you the customer.
